After School Care
Emerson ES is proud to be a Community School!
In addition to strong academic programs, Community Schools work closely with Community partner agencies to support individuals and families in the school community.
Jonamaria Moberg is our Community Schools Coordinator and Paulina Diaz is our Site Director for Learning Together Childcare Center (LTCC).
Our Emerson families and students have access to many agencies and services during and after the school day. LTCC is our lead Before and After School Program/Summer Program agency. We also partner with ABC Community Schools Partnership, Roadrunner Food Bank, First Nations Community Healthsource, Southwest Family Guidance and Catholic Charities. Ms. Mobeg works closely with our community partners and Emerson staff to better serve the needs of our Emerson families.
Information about LTCC:
Learning Together Childcare Center (LTCC) is a School-age academic based before and after school program, which supports a community schools’ strategy. LTCC provides academic support, art, music, science projects, recreation, service learning, social and emotional learning activities, etc.
The program is licensed as a childcare center through the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD). The program receives Child Care Subsidy Contracts to support those students from low income/working families. Also, the program uses an equitable process so other families can contribute to the program via fees.
